In an attempt to improve their standing in the Northwest Conference grid circles over that of the last few years, Dr. Stagg's Pacific eleven ran hot and cold througha nine-game schedule winding up with a 4 win 5 loss record for the season and a 2-3 record in league action.

The high point of the year came in the final game when the Badgers invaded the home of the league leaders, Lewis and Clark, and in sub-freezing weather on a snowy turf, completely baffled the Pioneers as they squeezed out a tight 7-6 win. The victory threw the conference title into a tie between Lewis and Clark and College of Idaho and marked one of the accomplishments of Coach Paul Stagg and his squads in the recent years.
