1941-1945 United States Navy

During WWII, between graduation from Pacific University and returning there to coach, coach Roloff served in the US Navy as a Chief Specialist ‘A’ in the Gene Tunney Program, training naval recruits at the Recruit Training Center in San Diego, CA until 1943. He was then assigned to the Mental and Orthopedic Wards at Long Beach Naval Hospital to work with injured sailors until the end of the war.

Married Eileen Lyons in 1945, son John and daughter Judy were born in 1947 and 1949 respectively.
